SNECI was founded in 1952 by Eric Chabrerie to represent the major German automotive suppliers in France like Mahle, Ehrenreich (TRW), Goetze (Federal Mogul), Textar (TMD Friction)... Over the years, SNECI has grown in its understanding of client needs to speed up and improve customer-supplier relations, not just in France, but around the world.
SNECI’s period of rapid expansion began in the early 1990s under the direction of its new president and owner, Eric's daughter, Isabelle Bailly:
| 1991 | Start of Business Development missions with Italian suppliers on the French market. |

Received ISO 9001 certification. Nominated with its U.S. supplier partner on an innovative product: 100% of electrical power steering for the Renault Megane. |
| 1998 |
Start of Supply Chain activities between the Americas and Europe. Nominated with its Brazilian supplier partner to provide up to 2,000 engine blocks per day to PSA Peugeot Citroen. First business won with Central European and Mexican suppliers. SNECI diversifies by offering services outside the automotive industry. |
| 2000 | President Isabelle Bailly is named to the executive committee of FIEV. |
| 2001 | Change of ownership: Isabelle Bailly buys company. |
| 2002 | Start of Business Development missions with Asian suppliers in Malaysia and then Japan. |
| 2004 | Start of Supply Chain Management between Asia and Europe. |
| 2005 | Nominated as Service Provider for Renault and the Suez group. |
| 2006 |
Founding of first international subsidiary: SNECI Central & Eastern Europe in Bratislava (Slovakia). Start of Business Development activities for international suppliers on the German market. |

Founding of Korean subsidiary: SNECI Korea in Seoul. Nominated as Service Provider for Valeo. Start of Distribution activities with Renault as first customer. Start of Training services. Today SNECI has trained over 800 people from more than 120 companies throughout the world. Nominated with one of its Asian partners to supply in Germany. Nominated by one of its Italian partners to develop their activities in Korea. |
| 2008 | Begins business in Brazil. |

Nominated as a Supplier Provider by PSA Peugeot Citroen on a worldwide basis. Nominated with its U.S. supplier partner to supply an innovative product: Versastyle wheels for Renault. Becomes member of the French-Korean Chamber of Commerce FKKCI. Nominated by one of its Korean partners to develop their activities in Brazil. |

Becomes member of “Elles Bougent,” an association focused on the advancement of young women in industry. Nominated with one of its Chinese partners to supply in Russia. |
| 2011 |
Founding of subsidiaries in Shanghai and Hong Kong (SNECI Shanghai and SNECI Asia). Becomes member of France-China Committee and SIA (Société des Ingénieurs de l’Automobile). Nominated with one of its Chinese partners to supply in Spain. Nominated by one of its German partners to develop their activities in Korea. |
