Interview of Reda Layt, Managing Director of SNECI MEA, on the automotive industry in Morocco

Reda Layt, Director of SNECI MEA, has been interviewed by Luxe radio to share his vision of the automotive industry in Morocco.

In fact, the Moroccan government is pushing to develop this industry through implementing incentives, to attract carmakers as well as Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, in order to promote local integration. This will in turn greatly benefit the Moroccan economy, both in terms of higher know-how and employment. SNECI MEA positions itself as a key player in this strategy implemented by Mr. Moulay Hafid ELALAMY, Minister of Industry, Trade, Investment and Digital Economy.

The major challenges of this plan are the deficit of local skilled technical knowledge and the local integration. SNECI therefore proposes a wide panel of services, including upgrading the level of local companies through its Training & Audit activities, and assists foreign suppliers in their localization in Morocco, thanks to its Business Unit Partnership and M&A.
