MALVESTITI & SNECI: A collaboration rewarded by PSA Peugeot Citroën

With a turnover of 56M€, Malvestiti employs several hundreds of people in two plants in the Milanese area. The Italian company designs and then manufactures fine blanked and laminated parts for various industries, including household appliances, automotive, electromechanical and watches. As for the automotive industry, the output of Malvestiti is of crucial importance for Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs for whom they provide gearbox, engine, seat, clutches, and brakes components. Bosch, Continental, PSA, and Valeo are the main clients of Malvestiti.

We are proud to announce that the French renowned OEM Group PSA has just granted Malvestiti with the “Best plant of the year” Award for 2014. To be noted that among 2200 suppliers working with PSA, only 93 received the award. This nomination is the result of the fruitful collaboration between the Italian manufacturer and SNECI.

Also, both SNECI’s Supply Chain and Quality teams have accompanied Malvestiti in their cooperation with PSA. Working together we managed to achieve a 0 ppm and a service rate of 100%. The framework of zero-defect quality policy is of great importance for OEMs. Their suppliers as some types of parts are often used more than once in the assembling process.

Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs keep raising their standards, continuously searching for more reliable and cost-efficient suppliers.  According to the businessman David T. Kearns, “In the race for quality, there is no finish line”.
