Uruguayan Leather Supplier ZENDA Has Been Nominated On 2 SUVs For PSA

ZENDA and SNECI have been recently nominated on leather components for two types of SUV cars produced by PSA Group.

ZENDA is a Uruguayan company founded in 1890. It is specialized in tannery and leathercraft for such industries as automotive, furniture, and aerospace. ZENDA has become over the years a global supplier of leather with manufacturing facilities in Europe, Latin America, and Asia, and it was acquired by the group JBS in 2013. With the production capacity of up to 6600 hides/day, the company sells its products to many car seat and dashboard manufacturers overseas.

Since 2000, SNECI is providing Business Development & Project Management assistance to ZENDA. In fact, SNECI has helped the supplier to identify and adapt to the needs of OEMs in order to win new businesses. We are proud to announce that ZENDA has been recently nominated with its partner SNECI to supply leather parts for the production of two new SUVs by PSA Group (DS & Citroën brands).

“This nomination shows the trust of PSA Group in the cooperation between ZENDA and SNECI. This confidence is the result of the excellent work on quality and product development realized together with PSA engineering team“, according to Hervé Champion, SNECI’s Business Development Director. “Leather is a very particular business within the automotive industry with even higher requirements than usual as it is mostly used for premium segments. We are particularly proud to have won this business that will ensure a bright future of ZENDA within the supplier panel of PSA Group”.
