SNECI Opens A New Office In Malaysia To Cover Southeast Asia

SNECI has been working with major carmakers and their suppliers in Southeast Asia since 2001. In 2021, we have decided to open a new office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to follow the growth of our activities in the region.

During our most significant regional missions, we assisted a major European OEM in their Local integration for several vehicles. The project was divided into two phases. During the first phase, we developed an optimum Local Integration Plan with a set of corresponding simulation tools for 27 vehicle functions comprised of over 950 components. Then, for six months, the team of nine SNECI experts carried out such activities as the definition of rules to obtain the Form-D document, the identification of potential local suppliers by vehicle function, the definition of the list of components to integrate locally to optimize the cash in / cash out ratio, and the establishment of the retro-planning from Start of Production to local suppliers’ nomination.

During the second phase, we supported the quality of the project industrialization. With 11 Supplier Developers in Malaysia and two Technical Experts in France and China, we have ensured the monitoring of the project schedule and quality synthesis, BOM management, change, and documentation control, alongside supplier quality and development (APQP/PPAP). Today, we successfully manage the OEM’s local integration global roadmap in both France and Malaysia.

In parallel, we continuously work with Southeast Asian suppliers (in Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Singapore) to help them improve their industrial performance inside their plants as well as the quality of their deliveries to international OEMs while assisting them in their commercial development internationally.

We also work with several companies throughout industries, to develop their business in Southeast Asia, either by acting as their local sales team to develop their business within the region with their targeted customers or by identifying local suppliers to help them increase their Local Integration or diversify their supplier base.
