SNECI Brings Its Battery Industry Expertise To Shanghai

From March 20th to 22nd, 2024, Shanghai in China became the epicenter of groundbreaking discussions and visionary insights. Mr. Maxime Boniteau, Vice President of International Development at SNECI, led discussions at the 3rd China New Energy Vehicle Power Battery Module and Pack Materials and Process Innovation Summit. The event gathered over 400 executives and senior R&D teams from leading Chinese OEMs, Tier 1, and Tier 2 companies. Together, they set the stage for transformative dialogue and collaborative endeavors, shaping the future of battery technology in the automotive industry.

Moreover, Maxime’s speech transcended geographical boundaries as he discussed how Chinese Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) penetrate the European market. He focused on the current regulations and provided insights into potential future developments. Furthermore, he mentioned the evolving landscape of power batteries in Europe, illuminating strategic imperatives and emerging opportunities. In his presentation, Maxime highlighted the remarkable growth of battery factories across Europe, noting that there are now 42 such facilities in operation, with a substantial portion—38 factories—located within the EU. This proliferation underscores the strategic necessity for automotive stakeholders to establish localized battery production capabilities, a realm in which SNECI excels.
